OPEN STAFF POSITIONS



Open Position: Staff Coach
Minimum License: USSF 'D' or National Governing Body Equivalent 
Experience: 1+ Years Coaching - Academy Experience not a Requirement
Job Expectations: Follow Plans Set by Program DOC. Manage Players & Parents Seasonally. Attend all BC CPD Events. Report to Program DOC on a Weekly Basis. 
Salary: $25+ per hour, commensurate with experience.

Open Position: Apprentice Coach
Minimum License: USSF 'Grassroots' License, aspiring for USSF 'D' License
Experience: None Required But Some Preferred
Job Expectations: Aid Staff Coach in Delivery of Player Development Sessions. Attend all BC CPD Events. Report to Program DOC on a Weekly Basis. Aim Towards Obtaining USSF 'D' License
Salary: $12+ per hour, commensurate with experience and ability

OPEN PARTNER CLUB POSITIONS

Open Position: Community Development Manager (C.D.M.)
Minimum License: USSF 'D' or National Governing Body Equivalent 
Experience: 1+ Years Coaching
Job Expectations: Lead player development sessions set by the BC United Director of Coaching at BC United Partner Clubs. Report to the Director of Coaching on a weekly basis to discuss the implementation of development plans at the respective club. Be the Club's point of contact for all soccer questions and aid in the development of volunteer coaches. 
Salary: $9,500 - $12,500 (depending on Club programming)

BC United is changing the way soccer training is delivered at the Academy level and beyond.  Being a learning organization, we constantly seek to enhance our training offerings through differing coaching practices and methodologies.

Coaches should expect to be aided financially and physically in the attainment of further USSF licensing while being placed inside a performance environment that places player development needs and wants, at the top of our priority list.

Our Technical Director will follow up with a phone interview and reference check with previous employers and/or players. A coaching evaluation may follow. Your evaluation may consist of:

  • An interview with our Directors
  • Designing and documenting a training session with a pre-arranged topic
  • Coaching a training session with a pre-arranged topic
  • Coaching an Academy scrimmage
  • Coaching an organized friendly

Apprentice Coaches

Are you a high school or college student interested in pursuing a career in coaching? Apply now to become an Apprentice Coach with BC United. Our Apprentice Program includes:

  • Assisting highly-licensed Head Coaches in practices, friendlies, matches and tournaments
  • Direct instruction on the application of coaching methodologies and techniques
  • Designing, implementing and instructing training sessions
  • Financial assistance for licensing
