BC United Youth Leadership Series

The BC United Youth Leadership offers an opportunity for regional leaders and BC United players to discuss issues surrounding youth leadership. The series gives our players an intimate audience with leaders in different fields who will help our players develop an understanding of skills and concepts necessary to become a leader in all aspects of life.

The BC United Youth Leadership includes government leaders, entrepreneurs, sports figures and business innovators who are passionately engaged in developing the next generation of strong and confident leaders.

Events are open to BC United players, parents and coaches only.

"Effective Decision Making"

Mario Leone has captained the nationally-recognized sustainability turnaround of the Borough of Monaca. Leone has backed projects like water line leak detection that reduced water loss rates by 30%, solar streetlight installations, a solar array to power operations at Monaca's reservoir and major expansions to Monaca's recycling programs. He is now at the center of a $25 million streetscape makeover of Monaca, meant to transform Monaca into an accessible and modern small town.

Katina Hunter

"Considering Other Perspectives"

Katina Hunter has spoken all over to audiences spanning the generation spectrum & in front of people all over the world as one of the Top 10 Speakers in the World Championship of Public Speaking in both 2016 & again in 2017. Her theatrical background comes through in her boisterous presentations & motivational speeches.

Katina is a successful real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Realty, an always-on-the-run mother of two, and an in-demand public speaking and presentation coach. Her daily life experiences often serve as inspirational material for her speeches.

Described as "Maverick!" with speeches that are "... for the history books," Katina is a masterful storyteller with a knack of revealing the special from within the simple.


Coach Cameron

"The Division II College Pathway"

Coach Cameron is an Assistant Coach at Trevecca Nazarene University, a Division II school in Nashville, Tennessee.

He will be delivering an on-field session for 2003 and 2001 Girls teams in the morning on the 12th of January and also delivering a workshop talk in the evening at 6PM.

As players begin to apply to college, competition for open roster spots increases. Coach Cameron will share the latest insights and practices, utilizing his insider expertise to instruct our players in methods that they can use to make themselves stand out and succeed in the application process.

All of our 11v11 players are invited to participate in Coach Cameron's workshop.

"Building Communication Skills"

BC United Captains will participate in a Captains-only workshop to build their verbal and non-verbal communication and on-field coordination abilities.
